PRE-REQUISITE REQUIRED:
We will be offering 3 separate “MAKE Pots” Saturday Workshops and an Adult Community class to allow participants to create work for the firings. Please sign up for at least one of these classes or contact us to verify that you have bisque ware of the appropriate type for this firing.
This will be our first ever “FIRE Pots” Workshop on June 28th. Participants will have the opportunity to glaze pieces for conventional electric (functional) and raku (non-functional) firing methods. This raku firing is an American twist on a traditional Japanese method of firing ceramics where glowing hot pieces are taken from the kiln and placed in a container with combustible materials to create a very cool effect on each piece. Raku fired pieces will be taken home on the same day while electric fired pieces can be picked up at a later date.
“FIRE Pots” Workshop is limited to 12 people.
Prior experience is not required! We will make every effort to meet you at your skill level.
Participants must be 12 years or older; under 16 must be accompanied by a guardian. This class will run from 4:00-7:30/8pm

In-Class Projects
In-class projects vary from class to class. Generally, there will be a wheel-thrown component and a hand-building component. Pottery is a broad field and we strive to offer a glimpse into a variety of aspects.

Class Transfers or Cancellations
We are happy to offer class transfers from date to date with 24-48 hours notice. Cancellations are available with 48 hours notice. This allows us to contact anyone that may be on a waitlist.
